Print-Friendly Version Westbank is a small, 22 bed care home for the elderly, situated in Troon on the Ayrshire coast, overlooking the seafront. The surroundings are quiet, with pleasant views of the Firth of Clyde and Ayrshire coast, providing the benefits of a seaside location for residents. Well situated on a local bus route. A personal level of care is provided to each resident. We cater for frail and elderly residents requiring the following care:
Personal ServicesAs well as 24 hour nursing care, we offer our residents a range of personal services provided within the care home, which further enhances their well-being . Regular visits from specialists such as Doctors, Opticians, Audiologists, Dentist and Chiropodists ensure our residents physical and medical conditions are monitored and addressed, along with the speedy provision of any spectacles, dentures, hearing aids or medications they may require.Personal extras - such as hairdressing, toiletries, newspapers and manicures - can also be provided on request. ActivitiesWe aim to provide a wide range of organised and informal activities for residents of all abilities and interests. Residents are encouraged to continue existing interests and activities, take up new ones, or play a part in the day to day running of the home if they wish. We have an activities advisor to support and co-ordinate local activities .CuisineMeals are prepared each day by the chef manager, using fresh ingredients. There is always a varied menu offering an interesting and nutritious diet. Meals are usually taken in the dining room, but residents may choose to eat in their rooms if they prefer - it's their choice. Our chefs are experienced in catering for special dietary or cultural requirements, and residents' requests are always welcome.VisitorsWe know how important it is for residents to stay in touch with family and friends, so guests are always welcome. There are no set visiting times, and it is up to you whether you meet your visitors in the lounge, the garden or the privacy of your own room. Some homes are also able to offer visitors meals and overnight accommodation.Financial ArrangementsOur weekly rates for Nursing and Residential Care are set by Social Services and reflect the individual care requirements for each resident.Assistance on all financial matters for residents and their relatives is available from the manager.
